Obi Melifonwu: Waived by San Francisco

The 49ers waived Melifonwu on Friday.

Melifonwu will leave San Fransisco after not getting an opportunity to suit up with the team. The 27-year-old last saw action during the 2018 season, logging three solo tackles on 20 defensive snaps. Melifonwu will look to earn a depth safety role elsewhere in the league.
