Panthers' Sam Darnold: Getting MRI on shoulder

Coach Matt Rhule said Monday that Darnold (shoulder) will receive an MRI, Andrew Siciliano of NFL Network reports.

Darnold's status for Week 10 currently looks uncertain, as Steve Reed of the Associated Press reports that Rhule intends to wait until Wednesday to make a decision about who will start versus Arizona. If Darnold can't go, P.J. Walker will stand to slot into the starting lineup. Versus the Patriots in Week 9, Darnold threw three interceptions without a touchdown.
