Tanzel Smart: Won't make 53-man roster

Smart (shoulder) was released by the Jets on Tuesday.

The veteran defensive tackle suffered a shoulder injury during New York's preseason finale against the Giants, but it seems as he's now moved past the issue after being released without an injury designation.
