Tim Tebow: Cut by hometown team

Tebow was waived by the Jaguars on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

It was always a long shot for the 2007 Heisman winner to reinvent himself as an NFL-caliber tight end at the age of 34. Tebow retired from baseball earlier this year and may now be done with professional sports for good, at least in a playing capacity.
