Troy Hairston: Cut by Houston

The Texans waived Hairston on Tuesday.

Hairston missed all of 2023 after being placed on the Texans' injured reserve due to a back injury. He returned for training camp in the hopes of making Houston's 53-man roster this season like he did in 2022, but he wasn't successful in doing so this time around. Assuming he clears waivers, Hairston could look to stick around on the Texans' practice squad or explore opportunities elsewhere.
