Vikings' Mark Fields: Designated to return from IR

Fields (chest) was designated to return from injured reserve Friday.

Fields has missed three consecutive games while on IR after suffering a "pinhole puncture" of his lung against the Packers in Week 8, but his return to the field could be coming soon given this designation. Fellow depth corner Chris Jones had a tough showing this past week against the Cowboys, so Fields could be in line for a bump in playing time upon his eventual return.
