Vikings' Xavier Woods: Sits out with minor injury

Woods did not play in Saturday's preseason loss to the Colts due to "a little nick," head coach Mike Zimmer told the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

It sounds like a minor injury, but it's worth monitoring Woods' health before the regular season. Woods will start at safety opposite Harrison Smith as part of a reconfigured Vikings secondary and add a needed veteran presence after the young unit struggled last year.
