Bass put up nine points in Sunday's win over the Chargers, converting on 45- and 43-yard attempts while making all three of his extra-point tries. Bass has been excellent following some early season rookie hiccups. In Week 7, he made six field goals on eight attempts in a game where he did all the scoring for the Bills, and he's made every single attempt since that game with the exception of a 61-yard try before halftime in Week 9. Bass has become a fantasy factor now that he's found his footing in an offense that moves the ball well.
Bass made all three of his field-goal tries in Sunday's loss to Arizona, from 54, 55 and 58 yards. He also made all three of his extra-point tries. Bass became only the second kicker in NFL history -- Justin Tucker being the other -- to make three 50-plus yarders in the first half of a game. The rookie has a big leg, and he has some decent job security after connecting on 22 of 28 field-goal attempts (78.6 percent) and 31 of 32 extra-point tries so far this season. Bass is also adept at getting touchbacks on kickoffs, as he's tied for third in the league with 40 of them so far.
Bass made three of four field-goal attempts and all five extra points in Sunday's 44-34 win over the Seahawks. Bass missed five field goals over eight games leading up to this outing, but Sunday's misfire shouldn't be held against the rookie. Coach Sean McDermott rolled Bass out for a 61-yard attempt in the winding seconds of the first half, and while he had enough leg on a windless day, he pushed it wide right. Bass has made 73 percent of field-goal tries this year, and he now has 74 points through nine games, tied with four other kickers for fifth in the league.
Bass made his lone field-goal attempt and all three-extra point attempts during Sunday's 24-21 win over the Patriots. The 23-year-old was called upon for eight field-goal attempts last week (he made six), but his only attempt Sunday was the game-winner, as he converted from 28 yards to break a 21-21 tie with four minutes left in the fourth quarter. Bass has endured an up-and-down rookie campaign, going 13-for-18 on field-goal attempts and 21-for-22 on extra-point attempts through eight games. A matchup with the Seahawks next week should provide plenty of opportunities for points for the Buffalo offense.
Bass made six of eight field-goal attempts in Buffalo's 18-10 win over the Jets on Sunday. The misses were not pretty and could have led to an embarrassing defeat for the Bills in what was a surprisingly close game most of the afternoon. However, the rookie sixth-rounder pushed through and ended up making kicks of 53, 48, 46, 37, 29 and 40 yards. In the process, Bass tied the NFL record for field-goal attempts in a game and became the first rookie to have eight attempts in an outing.
