  • Scandrick (hand) was a limited participant at Cowboys practice Thursday, David Helman of the Cowboys' official site reports. Even practicing on a limited basis is good news for Scandrick after not playing in the Cowboys' Week 2 blowout loss to the Broncos. Dallas' injury issues at cornerback were exposed by Trevor Siemian on Sunday, and if Scandrick is able to play, it would provide a big boost to the Cowboys as they face the Cardinals.

  • Scandrick (hand) is taking part in Thursday's practice, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports. Once the Cowboys wrap up their first practice of the week, the team will announce whether Scandrick was a full or partial participant, but either way, it seems he's trending toward suiting up for the Monday night matchup with the Cardinals. Scandrick missed the Cowboys' Week 2 blowout loss to the Broncos while recovering from surgery to address the fractured hand, which didn't go unnoticed in a game that Denver quarterback Trevor Siemian tossed four touchdown passes. Scandrick's likely return in Week 3 should help bolster a Cowboys secondary that could be without the services of its other starting cornerback in Nolan Carroll, who remains in the NFL's concussion protocol.

  • Scandrick (hand) will not rule himself out for Week 2's game against the Broncos and hopes to return for Week 3 at the very latest, Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. It was reported Monday morning that Scandrick will not play Week 2 against the Broncos, but it appears as though the cornerback is trying to make a quick return to the field. He called himself day-to-day and said he wants to play if he can tolerate the pain. Expect an update later in the week regarding his status for this weekend.

  • Cowboys' Orlando Scandrick: Fractures hand Sunday
    By RotoWire Staff

Owner Jerry Jones said Scandrick fractured his hand Sunday, David Helman of the Cowboys' official site reports. Jones added that he thinks Scandrick could play through this injury, so the cornerback might not be looking at any sort of absence. His availability for Week 2 hasn't been confirmed, though.

  • Cowboys' Orlando Scandrick: Exits with hand injury
    By RotoWire Staff

Scandrick left Sunday's game against the Giants with a hand injury and won't return, Brandon George of The Dallas Morning News reports. A thin cornerback group loses its only player with a solid track record, though the Giants' offense hasn't shown any real potential with Odell Beckham (ankle) sidelined. The Cowboys are left with three healthy cornerbacks -- Nolan Carroll, Anthony Brown and Chidobe Awuzie -- active for Sunday's game.
