Wood (illness) was back in the lineup in Sunday's 6-3 preseason loss to Utah.
Wood opened the scoring in the contest at the 13:12 mark of the first period during a Colorado power play. He accounted for nine goals and 26 points over 74 regular-season outings in 2023-24. Wood is expected to occupy a bottom-six role for the Avalanche again in 2024-25 but could move up the depth chart if Artturi Lehkonen (shoulder) is unavailable for the start of the year.
