Blackhawks' Andrew Shaw: Placed in concussion protocol

Shaw has entered the league's concussion protocol, Charlie Roumeliotis of NBC Sports Chicago reports.

This is brutal news for Shaw, who missed the majority of the 2019-20 campaign with a concussion. For now, the feisty winger should be considered out indefinitely. With Shaw no longer in the mix, Mattias Janmark could see additional opportunities on Chicago's No. 1 power-play unit going forward.
