Blue Jackets' Brendan Smith: Exits game in final frame

Smith (lower body) didn't finish Monday's game in Ottawa after leaving in the third period without putting weight on his right leg, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports.

There was no official update from the Blue Jackets on Smith's status. The 36-year-old defenseman will probably be fully evaluated Tuesday in Columbus ahead of Wednesday's home game versus New Jersey.
