Blue Jackets' Nathan Gerbe: Out 4-6 months

Gerbe is exptected to miss 4-to-6 minths after undergoing surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left hip, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports.

This is a tough break for Gerbe, who was projected to provide depth on the left wing this season. His absence means Gregory Hofmann and Sean Kuraly will be backing up Oliver Bjorkstrand. He will now set his sights on a return in early 2022.
