Blues' Pavel Buchnevich: Scores goal, receives ejection

Buchnevich scored a goal and logged 20 PIM in Monday's 7-4 win over the Coyotes.

Buchnevich tallied the Blues' first goal at 7:05 of the first period. Toward the end of the frame, he appeared to headbutt the Coyotes' Lawson Crouse -- that play racked up a match penalty and a game misconduct for Buchnevich, and it's likely a call from the Department of Player Safety could be next. Flames defenseman Rasmus Andersson was fined $5,000 for a similar play recently, but Buchnevich's actions Monday were a bit more severe and could rise to the level of a suspension. That casts some doubt over his status for Wednesday's game against the Golden Knights.
