Canadiens' Brendan Gallagher: Enters COVID-19 protocols

Gallagher was placed in the league's COVID-19 protocols Thursday.

Gallagher should be expected to miss the next 10 days after entering the protocols which means he will be out of action for at least four games. The winger is bogged down in a four-game goal drought during which he recorded one assist, eight shots and three hits. With Gallagher out of the lineup, Jake Evans figures to take on a first-line role alongside Tyler Toffoli and Christian Dvorak.
