Canadiens' Torrey Mitchell: Scores against former team

Mitchell scored a goal and had 15:12 TOI in Monday night's 6-2 loss to the Sharks.

Mitchell, who spent the first four years of his NHL career in San Jose, scored his seventh goal of the season, the most he's had since his final year with the Sharks in 2011-12. He received a slight bump in playing time Monday after Jacob De La Rose (minus-4) was dropped to the fourth line, so don't read anything into that. On most nights, Mitchell's getting fourth-line minutes and is a staple on the penalty-kill unit.
