Capitals' Alex Ovechkin: Pots goal No. 40

Ovechkin scored a power-play goal in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Stars.

He got the Capitals on the board early in the second period with one of his signature cannon shots from the faceoff circle to the right of the netminder, but Washington was already in a 2-0 hole at that point and was never able to level the score. Ovechkin has a four-game goal streak going and has piled up eight tallies and 12 points over the last nine games, pushing him to his 12th career 40-goal campaign.
