Capitals' Axel Jonsson-Fjallby: Reclaimed off waivers

Jonsson-Fjallby was reclaimed off the waiver wire by Washington from Buffalo on Monday, Stephen Whyno of the Associated Press reports. Additionally, the winger has been reassigned to AHL Hershey.

Jonsson-Fjallby never had a chance to play his way into a roster spot with the Sabres as a result of a visa issue. Clearly, the Caps are high on the 23-year-old winger, though he wasn't able to earn a place on the 23-man roster. Still, Jonsson-Fjallby should be in the mix for regular call-ups this year should he be needed.
