O'Brien scored a goal on his only shot and racked up a game-high eight hits in Monday's 5-3 loss to Florida.
O'Brien lit the lamp for the first time since his 2014-15 rookie season with Washington, snapping one short side on Spencer Knight from the right faceoff circle, cutting Florida's lead to 4-2 in the third period. O'Brien, who had just four assists in his first 30 NHL games, skated on the left side of Arizona's fourth line with Christian Fischer and Loui Eriksson and had less than nine minutes of ice time.
