Denis Malgin: Set for free agency

Malgin will not be qualified by the Avalanche, so he'll become a free agent Saturday, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports.

Malgin filled a depth role for the Avalanche in 2022-23, racking up 17 points in 42 contests after he was acquired from the Maple Leafs. The 26-year-old could earn some interest as a bottom-six option for a number of teams on the open market.
