Devils' Shane Bowers: Placed on waivers Sunday

Bowers was placed on waivers by the Devils on Sunday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

Bowers made eight regular-season appearances for the Devils last season and averaged just 9:27 of ice time. Assuming he clears waivers, he'll likely spend most of this year with AHL Utica.
