Gemel Smith: Signs with Dynamo Minsk

Smith signed a one-year contract with Dynamo Minsk of the KHL on Friday, Kevin Allen of Detroit Hockey Now reports.

Smith spent all of last season in the AHL, tallying 18 times with 35 assists and 145 PIM in 54 games split between Syracuse and Henderson. Smith last played in the NHL during the 2021-22 campaign with Detroit, picking up one assist in three games.
