Golden Knights' Akira Schmid: Called up from minors

The Golden Knights recalled Schmid from AHL Henderson on Saturday.

Schmid has been mediocre at the AHL level, starting the season 1-5-0 with a 3.56 GAA and an .885 save percentage in six appearances with the Silver Knights. Schmid will serve as Adin Hill's backup in Saturday's home matchup against Utah due to the absence of Ilya Samsonov (undisclosed).
