Schneider was promoted from AHL Bridgeport on Sunday, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
The 36-year-old will likely serve as Ilya Sorokin's backup Monday against Colorado while Semyon Varlamov deals with an undisclosed injury. Schneider sports a strong .921 save percentage and 2.51 GAA through 15 AHL games this season.
