Islanders' Kyle Palmieri: Lands on IR

Palmieri (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Thursday, retroactive to Dec. 16.

Palmieri was held without a point through his seven December appearances prior to suffering a lower-body injury. He has been skating on his own since Monday but has not participated in practice.
