Islanders' Zach Parise: Playing on third line

Parise was lined up with Jean-Gabriel Pageau and Oliver Wahlstrom on Saturday, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.

Parise was signed as a free agent addition during the offseason to add additional secondary scoring for the Islanders. Coach Barry Trotz has elected to place him on the third line at the start of the preseason and that's likely where Parise will start when the Isles open up versus the Hurricanes on Oct. 14.
