Samberg is week-to-week with an upper-body injury, Scott Billeck of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
It's unclear when Samberg, who debuted Jan. 13 and has totaled two assists in six NHL games, suffered the injury. The 23-year-old should return sometime in February.
