Jets' Nikolaj Ehlers: Not playing in preseason

Ehlers (neck) is not expected to play Thursday versus the Senators, Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press reports.

Ehlers will end up missing the Jets' entire preseason slate, leaving him questionable for the team's Opening Night matchup versus the Flames next Wednesday. He has been practicing in a regular jersey for nearly a week. Ehlers should be a part of the Jets' top six once he's cleared for game action.
