Josh Archibald: Placed on unconditional waivers

Archibald was placed on unconditional waivers for the purpose of terminating his contract Saturday.

Archibald has decided that he doesn't want to play hockey at this time and was not going to report to training camp. He had six goals and 12 points in 69 games with Pittsburgh last season and inked a two-year deal with the Lightning on July 1.
