Marner set a new Maple Leafs franchise record for assists by a rookie when he tallied his 41st in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Predators.
Marner has been everything that was advertised when he was a junior player and then some. He's still growing into his body and will become better and better as he physically matures. Remarkably, the record Marner broke had been in place since 1943-44, when Gus Bodnar set the mark.
