Yamamoto signed a one-year, $1.175 million contract with the Oilers on Saturday.

Yamamoto broke out to the tune of 11 goals and 26 points through just 27 games in 2019-20, but the 5-foot-8 winger was unable to live up to his lofty expectations in 2020-21, totaling just eight goals and 21 points through 52 contests. The 2017 first-round pick will be looking to secure a major pay raise during the 2021-22 campaign.
