Currie was placed on waivers by Ottawa on Friday, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
Currie signed a two-way deal with the Senators this offseason and will likely spend most of the year with AHL Belleville. He has 22 games of NHL experience but hasn't appeared at the top level since the 2020-21 campaign.
