MacDermid (upper body) was placed on waivers Saturday, according to Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia.
MacDermid started the 2026-27 campaign on Ottawa's non-roster injured reserve list. Now that he's healthy, he could see time with AHL Belleville if he clears waivers.
