Tobias Rieder: Released from tryout

Rieder was released from his professional tryout with the Ducks on Wednesday.

Rieder signed the PTO deal in September, but he didn't secure a contract with the Ducks. The 28-year-old is now a free agent. He could latch on with another team looking to bolster its bottom-six depth, as he's played at least 44 games in each of his seven NHL seasons. The German is also regarded as a solid defensive winger.
