Kaprizov signed a five-year, $45 million contract extension with the Wild on Wednesday, Stephen Whyno of the Associated Press reports.
Kaprizov didn't disappoint in his first season moving over from the KHL to the NHL, averaging nearly a point per contest en route to 51 points -- 27 goals and 24 assists -- over 55 games. He's now locked in with the Wild for another five years after 2021-22 and should be good to go for the start of training camp Thursday.
