  • Kraken's Mason Marchment: Ready to return

Marchment (illness) will be in the lineup versus the Avalanche on Tuesday, Joe Pohoryles of Emerald City Spectrum reports.

Marchment didn't play Sunday versus the Sabres while dealing with an illness that has been going through the Kraken's locker room. The 30-year-old Marchment will get shuffled up to a line with Matty Beniers and Jordan Eberle for Tuesday's contest.

  • Vince Dunn D | SEA

Kraken's Vince Dunn: Good to go

Dunn (illness) will be in the lineup Tuesday versus the Avalanche, Joe Pohoryles of Emerald City Spectrum reports.

Dunn missed practiced Monday, but he'll suit up a day later. The defenseman should be good to handle a top-pairing role while seeing ample power-play time as well.

  • Kraken's Philipp Grubauer: Starting Tuesday

Grubauer will protect the home goal versus the Avalanche on Tuesday, Joe Pohoryles of Emerald City Spectrum reports.

The Kraken have started to alternate goalies, giving Grubauer his third start in six games in this contest. It's a tough assignment for him against one of his former teams -- the Avalanche lead the league with 4.00 goals per game this season.

  • Tyler Seguin C | DAL

Stars' Tyler Seguin: Undergoes surgery Tuesday

Seguin underwent surgery to repair his ACL on Tuesday, and he has been ruled out for the remainder of the regular season, Sean Shapiro of DLLS Sports reports.

Seguin is already on long-term injured reserve, and he could be reasonably expected to miss at least 5-6 months at a minimum. The Stars are waiting for an update from Seguin's doctor to determine if they will place him on season-ending LTIR, which would rule him out for the playoffs but also give the team relief from his full $9.85 million cap hit rather than the reduced figure of just over $3.8 million under the revised rules this year.

  • Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Defending crease Tuesday

Knight will protect the road net against Toronto on Tuesday, Scott Powers of The Athletic reports.

Knight is coming off a 23-save effort in Friday's 3-2 loss to St. Louis. He has a 10-7-5 record with two shutouts, a 2.52 GAA and a .915 save percentage through 22 appearances this season. Toronto is tied for fifth in the league with 3.29 goals per game this year.

  • Islanders' Mathew Barzal: Poised to play

Barzal (undisclosed) is expected to play against Detroit on Tuesday, according to Andrew Gross of Newsday.

After skipping the morning skate for maintenance, Barzal will center the top line against the Red Wings. He has accounted for nine goals, 25 points, 75 shots on net and 24 blocked shots in 32 appearances this season.

  • Maple Leafs' Matias Maccelli: Out Tuesday

Maccelli (illness) won't play Tuesday versus the Blackhawks, Dave McCarthy of NHL.com reports.

Considering Maccelli was a healthy scratch for seven straight games prior to this, it may be difficult to know when he's moved past the illness. It's also not guaranteed he'll draw back into the lineup when he's feeling better.

  • Ville Husso G | ANA

Ducks' Ville Husso: In goal Tuesday

Husso will guard the road goal versus the Blue Jackets on Tuesday, Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers reports.

Husso's playing time has predictably dropped since Lukas Dostal returned from an upper-body injury. With this being the second half of a back-to-back, Husso will get the nod after Dostal defeated the Rangers on Monday. The Blue Jackets have lost five straight games, going 0-4-1 with 12 goals scored in that span.

  • Isak Rosen RW | BUF

Sabres' Isak Rosen: Sent back to minors

Rosen was assigned to AHL Rochester on Tuesday.

Rosen was a healthy scratch in Sunday's 3-1 win over Seattle. He has three goals, seven points, 13 shots on net, nine blocked shots and five hits in 12 NHL appearances this season.

  • Flames' Mikael Backlund: Good to go against Sharks

Backlund (undisclosed) will be in the lineup for Tuesday's clash with San Jose.

Backlund left Saturday's matchup with the Kings after logging just 11:10 of ice time but seems no worse for the wear. The veteran center has managed just one goal in his last 11 outings, and perhaps more concerningly for fantasy managers, a mere 16 shots. At this point, Backlund's days of being a 20-goal scorer seem well behind him; he last achieved that mark back in 2018-19, but he should still be capable of putting up at least 15 tallies this year.
