Laurent Brossoit G | CHI
Blackhawks' Laurent Brossoit: Goalie goal in AHL win
Brossoit (hip) stopped 33 of 36 shots and scored a goal in AHL Rockford's 5-3 win over Milwaukee on Friday.
Brossoit has gone 2-1-0 with 10 goals allowed on 100 shots over his first three games on his conditioning loan. He was loaned Dec. 2 and can stay with the IceHogs for two weeks, so he is starting to run out of time. The Blackhawks are looking for a change of scenery for the netminder, who is coming off surgeries on his knee and hip that have kept him out of action since April of 2024. If no trade can be arranged, he could be waived to stay with Rockford, though it doesn't look like he'll immediately be in contention for NHL action.

Ville Heinola D | WPG
Jets' Ville Heinola: Three more helpers in win
Heinola posted three assists in AHL Manitoba's 6-1 win over Iowa on Friday.
Heinola has 12 points on the year, including six helpers over his last four games. While he's improving with the Moose, the Jets are about to get Haydn Fleury (concussion) back, so there's no obvious spot for Heinola to receive a call-up.

Walker Duehr RW | WPG
Jets' Walker Duehr: Collects another three points
Duehr scored a goal and added two assists in AHL Manitoba's 6-1 win over Iowa on Friday.
Duehr has a pair of three-point efforts over his last six games, though he's gone scoreless in the other four outings in that span. The veteran winger has nine goals, eight assists a plus-6 rating through 25 appearances this season. Should the Jets opt to remodel a stagnant forward group, Duehr could be a call-up candidate to fill a fourth-line job.

Connor Bedard C | CHI
Blackhawks' Connor Bedard: Sustains injury late in loss
Bedard sustained an apparent shoulder injury late in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Blues and won't play Saturday versus the Red Wings, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Bedard is set to be evaluated further with an update expected Monday. He was injured on the last faceoff of the game Friday when he was checked to the ice by Brayden Schenn. Bedard had two assists in the contest, giving him 44 points through 31 outings this season. The extent of his injury will be revealed at a later time, but fantasy managers may want to prepare for a longer absence.

Mason Shaw C | WPG
Jets' Mason Shaw: Puts up three points
Shaw scored twice and added an assist in AHL Manitoba's 6-1 win over Iowa on Friday.
Shaw had just one goal and five assists over his previous nine outings. The veteran forward is up to six goals, 17 points and a plus-6 rating across 25 appearances for the Moose. The Jets are struggling at the NHL level, but it's unclear if Shaw has done enough to play his way into a call-up should the big club make changes.

Patrick Brown C | BOS
Bruins' Patrick Brown: Racks up three more helpers
Brown logged three assists in AHL Providence's 4-1 win over Hershey on Friday.
Brown has seen his pace drop in recent weeks, though both of his three-point efforts this year have come in the last eight games. The veteran forward is at 10 goals, 27 points, 72 shots and a plus-16 rating across 24 appearances. He's on pace for his best AHL campaign -- he's never topped the 50-point mark or sustained a point-per-game pace before.

Gabriel Chiarot RW | VAN
Canucks' Gabe Chiarot: Earns two points
Chiarot scored a goal and added an assist in OHL Brampton's 4-3 loss to Sault Ste. Marie on Friday.
Chiarot had gone 10 games without a multi-point effort, earning four goals and two assists in that span. For the season, he's at 14 goals and 10 assists over 27 appearances. He's improved on his pace from last year (0.53 points per game) but isn't dominating in the OHL. A sixth-round pick in 2025, the Canucks prospect may never shine all that bright on offense.

Tye Kartye LW | SEA
Kraken's Tye Kartye: Back in action
Kartye (illness) will play Friday versus the Mammoth, per the NHL media site.
Kartye missed Wednesday's contest against the Kings, but he looks to be healthy enough to return to action. He'll slot in on the fourth line, while Jared McCann (lower body) comes out of the lineup. Kartye has just one assist and five shots on net over his last seven contests.

Philipp Grubauer G | SEA
Kraken's Philipp Grubauer: Getting start versus Mammoth
Grubauer will guard the road goal Friday versus the Mammoth, per Circling Seattle Sports.
Grubauer will make his second start in the last three games. While he took a loss versus the Wild on Monday, he stopped 25 of 27 shots. Grubauer is carving out a larger role amid Joey Daccord's recent struggles, and it's possible the two goalies share the crease for a while going forward.

Liam Ohgren LW | VAN
Canucks' Liam Ohgren: Getting change of scenery
Ohgren was traded to the Canucks from the Wild on Friday, along with Marco Rossi (lower body), Zeev Buium and a 2026 first-round pick, in exchange for Quinn Hughes, Darren Dreger of TSN reports.
Ohgren will give the Canucks another young prospect to work with as they attempt a significant retooling following their latest failure to get competitive. This is a change of scenery for Ohgren, who had just seven points in 46 career games over the last three NHL campaigns. The 21-year-old winger may still end up seeing some time with AHL Abbotsford to work on his development. Ohgren failed to log a point in 18 NHL outings this season, and if he sticks in the NHL with the Canucks, he's unlikely to be anything more than a bottom-six option initially.
