Sam Groth didn't stand much of a chance against Roger Federer on Saturday, but at least the big-serving Australian etched his name in Wimbledon history with this rapid-fire serve clocked at 147 mph. Observe:

It's the fastest serve anywhere this year in tennis, and the second fastest serve ever at Wimbledon, just two miles away from the record.

The 27-year-old, a former Aussie Rules football player, has yet to reach the round of 16 in a major tournament. Meanwhile, Federer is in his quest for a record eighth Wimbledon title.
