WATCH: Sam Groth smashes 147 mph serve, second fastest in Wimbledon
It's the fastest serve anywhere this year in tennis, and the second fastest serve ever at Wimbledon, just two miles away from the record.
Sam Groth didn't stand much of a chance against Roger Federer on Saturday, but at least the big-serving Australian etched his name in Wimbledon history with this rapid-fire serve clocked at 147 mph. Observe:

The 27-year-old, a former Aussie Rules football player, has yet to reach the round of 16 in a major tournament. Meanwhile, Federer is in his quest for a record eighth Wimbledon title.
