2016 U.S. Open: Tee times and groupings updated for Friday
After rain washed out much of Thursday, the 2016 U.S. Open will do its darnedest to fit in as much action as possible on Friday

The 2016 U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club in got off to a rough start as severe weather washed out much of the first-round action on Thursday with only nine players were able to complete their rounds.
The USGA has released new tee times for Friday with players that were on the course when play was suspended returning at 7:30 a.m. ET, and the rest of the tee times beginning at 8 a.m. ET.
Among those still on the course: Rory McIlroy, Rickie Fowler, Jordan Spieth and Bubba Watson. McIlroy (4 over) and Fowler (6 over) are both looking to take advantage of the break in play and come back with a renewed focus and quality of play after both fell off the pace on Thursday. Spieth (1 over) and Watson (2 under) will look to maintain or advance their position up the leaderboard.
The marquee groups from the afternoon wave on Thursday that did not get a chance to play due to weather will tee off in the morning on Friday for their first round. Dustin Johnson, Hideki Matsuyama and Sergio Garcia will start at No. 1 at 9:06 a.m. ET, while Jason Day, Adam Scott and Louis Oosthuizen follow at 9:50 a.m. ET.
