Lowndes (Valdosta, Ga.) and DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) join the Power 25 high school football rankings presented by Powerade this week after both won big against out of state opponents.
The Georgia program cruised to a 48-21 win over back-to-back Florida 6A state champs Northwestern (Miami). The Vikings scored a touchdown on their first seven possessions and ended the night with 379 yards rushing. Jacurri Brown ran for 174 yards and two scores while adding another touchdown through the air.
