Cade Klubnik returned to action after missing three weeks due to injury and powered No. 3 Westlake (Austin, Texas) to its 34th straight win with an impressive 63-21 victory over rival Lake Travis (Austin). Klubnik accounted for nearly 300 yards of total offense and five touchdowns. The No. 3 team in the MaxPreps Top 25 rankings draws Hutto on Nov. 12 in the opening round of the 6A Division 2 playoffs as the 10-0 Chaparrals begin their quest for a third consecutive state title.

In Southern California, the CIF Southern Section Division 1 bracket gets underway this week with four MaxPreps Top 25 teams in action. 

No. 1 Mater Dei (Santa Ana) opens up with (8-2) Norco, No. 2 St. John Bosco (Bellflower) hosts Malachi Nelson and (9-1) Los Alamitos, No. 7 Servite (Anaheim) faces (6-4) Santa Margarita (Rancho Santa Margarita) and, perhaps, the most enticing matchup pits No. 13 Centennial (Corona) against Mission Viejo. All four games are set for Nov. 12.

No. 10 Chandler (Ariz.) held on for a gritty 10-7 win over Highland (Gilbert) to extend its winning streak to 45, the fourth longest active streak in the country. The Wolves finish the regular season Nov. 12 at No. 15 Hamilton (Chandler) in the only MaxPreps Top 25 matchup of the week.

No. 19 Bixby (Okla.) is the only team in the national rankings with a longer win streak. The Spartans reeled off their 46th consecutive win with a dominant 69-20 victory over Booker T. Washington (Tulsa). They are three wins from breaking Wagoner's state record and currently have the second longest active streak in the nation.

The three-time defending 6A-II state champs open up with Putnam City North (Oklahoma City) in the opening round of the playoffs on Nov. 12.
