Twins shortstop Danny Santana was forced out of Friday's game game against the Yankees in the third inning, after suffering a laceration to left upper eyelid while stealing third base, the St. Paul Pioneer-Press reports. The cut will require several stitches. He was replaced by Aaron Hicks at center field.
Santana is hitting .375 with three RBI in 40 at-bats. His status remains uncertain for Saturday's game in New York.
