The Mariners are "getting lots of calls" about second baseman Dustin Ackley, CBSSports.com baseball insider Jon Heyman reports.

Ackley, who played 59 games in the outfield last season in addition to his natural position of second base, hit .253/.319/.341 with four home runs and 31 RBI in 384 at-bats last season. His strong second half (.304/.374/.435) was anchored by the month of August, in which he hit .390/.420/.597 and 10 of his 14 extra-base hits.
