Blue Jays pitcher Dustin McGowan was not at his best as he lasted only four innings on Thursday, but managed to escape with a no-decision in a 9-5 defeat to the Twins in Minnesota.

McGowan allowed a solo home run to Brian Dozier in the opening frame and a two-run double to Chris Colabello in the fifth before the end of his night. He was charged with three runs on six hits and four walks while striking out three over four innings of work. He ran his pitch count to 85, with 49 of his pitches called for strikes.

McGowan has allowed seven runs over his first 13 innings pitched to start the season. He'll take the hill Wednesday at home against Baltimore.
