Diamondbacks pitcher Ian Kennedy has been suspended 10 games for throwing at Zack Greinke to start the club's brawl Tuesday with the Dodgers.
As usual, Kennedy will likely appeal the suspension in hopes to get it shortened. Kennedy had already hit outfielder Yasiel Puig in the head earlier in the game, and did the same thing an inning later with Greinke. He would miss two starts if the suspension holds.
Kennedy has a 5.49 ERA and a 4.88 FIP in 78 2/3 innings this year. He is expected to appeal the suspension, MLB.com reports.
