Phillies OF Aaron Altherr explodes for two homers, five RBI in win

Phillies outfielder Aaron Altherr went 4 for 5 with a pair of home runs, including an inside-the-park grand slam, and five RBI in Philadelphia's 8-2 win over Washington on Friday night.

Altherr got off to a hot start but saw his strikeout rate climb as pitcher's found the holes in his swing. The game is all about adjustments, and he'll try to build on this performance as he works to assure himself a spot in the Phillies' plans. Batting .252 with five long ones and 16 RBI his production will need to climb if he wants a fulltime job next season.
