Rangers ace Yu Darvish, facing the Astros in Houston, lost a no-hit bid with one out in the eighth inning on Monday. Houston catcher Carlos Corporan ripped an outside fastball for a home run to break up the no-no and cut the Texas lead to 2-1.
Worth noting is that Darvish worked the late innings without his regular catcher, A.J. Pierzynski, who was ejected in the sixth for arguing balls and strikes on and replaced by Geovany Soto.
Let's not forget that on April 2, in his first start of the 2013 season, Darvish came with one out of pitching a perfect game against those same Astros ...
