The Rays announced a few roster moves Tuesday, including reliever Jeff Beliveau being moved to the 60-day disabled list. It was announced he will have surgery Thursday to repair a torn left labrum.

Beliveau will be out for the rest of the season. The Rays hope he will be ready by spring training.

The Rays also placed Ryan Brett on the 15-day disabled list with a left shoulder subluxation. Infielder Jake Elmore was recalled from Triple-A Durham to take his roster spot.

"[Elmore] provides a ton of versatility," Cash said, per MLB.com. "He's played well down there. He's been having really good at-bats. It was nice to see him during Spring Training. He was the guy that we carried on every single trip simply because if he wasn't starting, he covered us at any position -- and that's a luxury to have in the dugout."
