Royals pitcher Greg Holland (elbow) underwent successful Tommy John surgery Friday, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.
After being diagnosed with a "significant" tear in his UCL, Holland will likely have to refrain from any activity over the offseason. Given the usual timetable for Tommy John, the 29-year-old likely won't be available until the 2017 season.
