Ryan Vogelsong drops third straight decision

Giants pitcher Ryan Vogelsong was not sharp in a loss to the A's on Monday, dropping to 5-6 on the season. The right-hander permitted three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out four over 5 1/3 innings of a 5-0 defeat.

Over his last three starts covering 18 1/3 innings, Vogelsong has allowed six earned runs. He owns a 3.92 ERA and a 1.30 WHIP over 18 starts (103 1/3 innings). He will make his final start before the All-Star break on Saturday at home against Arizona.
